Every Saturday from May through Labour Day, our market brings together local produce, handmade goods, baked treats, coffee, and the neighbours you've been meaning to catch up with. Rain or shine, 10 am to noon, at the Pavilion.

A Community Tradition Since 1860

The Agricultural Society has roots on Amherst Island going back to the 1860s. After decades of dormancy, a group of neighbours restored the Society to active status in 2018 — and have since transformed the fairgrounds into a proper community gathering place, with the new Pavilion as its centrepiece.

Frequently Asked Questions

Amherst Island is a short ferry ride from Millhaven, Ontario — about 20 minutes west of Kingston on Highway 33. The ferry runs year-round and takes both cars and foot passengers.
